GROUP POLICY
Muslim Running Club, Inc. is committed to the safety and well being of each of our runners. In order to foster an inclusive environment, we have established some ground rules for all DMRC affiliated programs including, but not limited to group chats, group or individual runs, social events, fitness and yoga classes, races and/or volunteer initiatives.
We ask that each DMRC Runner acknowledges that he/she will adhere to the following policies and the code of conduct that can be found here.
No Soliciting of any kind without the approval of Admins.
Yes, we know there are plenty of races, organizations and causes that you may be involved with outside of this group. We want to support you, however with a large group we can not allow individuals to solicit within the Telegram or at DMRC programs. We ask that any runner who would like to offer a service, share an event, or mention any product with the group online, in-chat or in-person first receive written approval from DMRC Admins.
Zero Tolerance for any inappropriate behavior or harassment online or in-person to the group, an individual or towards the admins.
Alhamdulillah, as an organization it is an honor to bring our community together for our passion of running and building a healthy lifestyle however DMRC Admins reserve the right to remove any runner/member who threatens the safety or well-being of others by acting inappropriately or making others uncomfortable verbally or physically in-person or online. If at any point you feel uncomfortable with another member’s actions towards you swiftly address the DMRC Admins.
Telegram Policies
As a growing organization with many names and faces, it is the DMRC policy that each member in the Telegram group shares her/his full name and actively participates in the group when necessary. In order to preserve the integrity of the group chat Admins will periodically clean-up the group by removing any participants who have not been active and/or any member in the group chat who does not share his/her full name.
Group Run Policies
Be honest about your abilities. Remember you are not competing with anyone, but working on bettering your own skills. Take consideration of any recommendations given to you by the run leaders regarding which group is right for you and change groups when appropriate. We want everyone to enjoy their time, however catering to the larger group requires each runner stay accountable and in-tune with his/her body’s needs and abilities on any given day.
