THE TRAINING PLAN
What to expect? We know it may seem a little scary to get out and try something new. It may even be uncomfortable to think about pushing your limits beyond comfort, and even more daunting to do this with strangers. Although you may not believe it until you take that risk and show up - these strangers quickly become your biggest supporters, and together, we can do anything!
Here’s a little insight on what you can expect when you show up.
Saturday Morning Schedule*:
8 AM: MEET UP. Bismillah.
Begin with a dynamic warm-up focused on mobility, led by Dr. Nurah Hemeida.
8:15 AM: HIT THE TRAILS
We rotate through a variety of running trails all around the DFW area including Plano, Dallas, Irving, Coppell and Arlington. New locations are added monthly, and these details can be found via Instagram @rundmrc.
THE RUN - Choose what is best for you.
Group A: 4 Miles, consistent easy pace (averaging <10:00/mile)
Group B: 3 Miles, consistent easy pace (no walking, average <13:20/mile)
Group C: 40 Minutes, based on a six-week ramp up from walking to running your first 5K. - THE BEGINNER GROUP
Which group you join for the group run is completely based on your preference, training plan, skill set, and how you feel that day.
9 AM: STRETCH + COOL DOWN. Alhamdulillah.
Post Run, we invite you to join Team DMRC for breakfast/brunch with the team. Details for each week are shared after the group run.
